Well we survived a whole week of rainy days and I am thankful for the great attitude the children had each day. This week should get them more time to play outside.
Please be sure your calendars are marked for Grandparents’ Day on February 12. The program will be in the Worship Center in the morning—more details on the specific times to follow next week. The children are welcome and encouraged to leave at noon that day, after the program. There will be no academics that afternoon.
Please be sure your child is memorizing his/her part that was sent home last week.
Friday, Feb. 5 will be the 100th day of school. Your child will bring home more information concerning this day later this week.
With January almost over, we have spent much time discussing our January theme “Children of light walk in the light”. The class has heard and learned much about their responsibility to obedience and proper choices. Please encourage discussions with your child about this at home as well. Have a wonderful week, and please let me know how I can pray for you.
By His grace and for His glory,
Mrs. Shirley Mollica

Bible for week of January 25
For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” II Corinthians 4:6
This week we complete our “miracle” section in the life of Christ. The class will be tested on this section Friday. We will also memorize Ephesians 5:13, 14 , which completes the GCS January Scripture. WE will also be reciting the entire Ephesians passage in chapel this Friday. Please come and hear us—chapel begins at 8:30.
Ephesians 5: 13, 14
“But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. For this reason it says, ‘ Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.’ ”
